HMMWV Title – Iron Planet FL Title

Iron Planet FL - Florida Title Scan

HMMWV Title – Iron Planet FL Title

A special thanks to Jason for providing a copy of what Iron Planet will send a buyer of a Humvee / HMMWV if the Florida Title option is chosen.

It is important to note that this title does specify that the vehicle is “not suitable for highway use.” Depending on what the intended application of your Humvee is, this may be a preferable choice as it will make it much easier to transfer the title at your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles.

Hummer Surplus Parts Blog Comment Guidelines

Hummer Surplus Parts Blog Comment Guidelines

We have gotten so many “spam” comments as of recent, that a need of general guidelines has been established. For the most part, our customers and blog readers are representing themselves very well, the problem comes in when unscrupulous companies, individuals, and bot-users try to “pad” their google placement with links to other sites via blog posts.

As a general guideline, if your post does not pertain to a vehicle of some sort in some way (yes, we are very general in this respect), there is a good chance that such a comment will not be approved for public viewing (yes, we have to approve all comments to ensure that only quality comments are published). The good news is that all of our Humvee blog readers have done a spectacular job with this aspect unlike the spammers.

We do ask that “colorful language” be limited, however, given that the HMMWV is not likely to be purchased by an underage US Citizen, profanity when used sparingly, is not going to get your comment booted –  the US Military has not banned the use (to our knowledge), and neither will www.hummersurplusparts.com.  We simply suggest that if it is necessary to drive a point home, please be kind to the audience and edit unnecessary harsh words if it is practical to do so without changing the meaning/tone of the comment. Sometimes, sheer idiocy of a subject just requires such language; we understand.

As for specific comment spam, we do not want any SEO paid services. Period. Your comments will not be approved, read, or acted upon beyond the delete key. We do not want to buy hand bags from China (yes, we still get this sort of garbage comment). We do not want to buy hockey/basketball/NFL/ (insert sport of choice) jerseys  from China either; these items do not fit on military trucks and will result in a deleted comment. Basically, if your comment involves another service that is not relevant to a military truck in some way, it will not be approved; that being said, if such a post is beneficial to the blog as a whole and relevant to HMMWV’s or other military vehicles, there is a good chance it will be approved – we are not against sharing anything that might be beneficial to our blog readers, we just want to weed out the garbage delivery companies that stocked our comment section with over 600 comments in the last couple weeks.

As for the other comments that we can not decipher using Google translate, please use English, our warehouse team speaks mostly English (well, Southern Redneck English), and though we can often figure out what some Spanish, German, Polish, Russian, or other language comment means, it is not likely to get published as it is unlikely we can adequately respond with a quality comment (yes, Google can translate, but not that well). We are not blacklisting other countries or people for the use of languages, but do realize that we sell parts and like Humvees, we do not study foreign language.

Hopefully, these general guidelines for comments to our blog are fairly straight forward. We do not want to discourage any quality comment in any way. More than likely, if you are taking the time to make a comment on a military vehicle, your comment will be well received and approved as soon as we notice it.

Thank you you all for your business, interest, and comments on www.hummersurplusparts.com. We hope to host many future comments from our readership.

Great news! The US Army is planning to auction HMMWV, Humvee, and/or M998 trucks!

We just saw the news this morning and are excited about the oportunity to own one of these great vehicles. Humvees, HMMWV, and M998’s have been in high demand for years with the US Military not selling any; Now is the time for any person wanting a Humvee to look into purchasing one!
